Why do you think it’s better to be with someone who lifts?

Is it because that person will have a better body shape or more attractive looks?

While people who lift and exercise often usually have better looking bodies still there are many more hidden benefits associated with being with those people apart from their enhanced physical looks. People who exercise regularly have certain personality traits that make them totally different from those who don’t.

Here are some of those traits:

1. They know what true commitment is.

Is there anything better in a relationship than real and true commitment? If a guy/girl can be this dedicated to his/her body, just imagine how dedicated he/she would be to you. They really know what solid commitment is.

2. They have strong Will Power.

Any person in the world can exercise and do vigorous sports for a week or two but to keep doing that almost every week throughout the year then you need an iron will. Those who exercise often do have that iron will.

3. They are not procrastinators.

Procrastination or the act of wasting time without doing any of the tasks you planned to do is a horrible personality disorder that kills progress in life. If a person shows up in the gym regularly then you can safely assume that he is not a procrastinator.

4. They will pick you up when you’re down.

They won’t let you sulk in self-pity. You can count on them to lift you up when times are tough.

5. They are not scared of a little extra pain.

They don’t run when things get a little tough.

6. They are always willing to put in that extra effort.

A guy/girl who lifts has something to prove to himself/herself, which means his/her efforts will never dwindle. He/she knows just what he/she is capable of and will never settle.

7. They know what it means to spot and rely on someone.

They understand how important it is to be open and vulnerable.

8. They are goal oriented.

They keep doing the same tiring tasks over and over because they have certain goals in mind that they want to reach. Compare that to people who don’t know what they want and you will know why those who lift have an edge when it comes to setting and achieving goals.

9. They are in control.

While so many people blame the good taste of food and the limited time they have for their excess fat, those who lift take the responsibility and try to change what they don’t like.

10. They are more patient.

It takes a lot of patience to tolerate pain for days and days without seeing any results. Those who exercise regularly usually learn patience along the way.

11. They are much more confident.

Not because they look better but because they love themselves. People who think highly of themselves never let themselves go. Those who have low confidence can easily allow their bodies to go out of shape.

12. They have more self discipline.

Resisting the urge of binge eating or of staying in bed without doing anything requires a lot of self discipline. Those who exercise often have a much stronger self discipline than those who don’t.

13. They can turn something bad into something good.

Some people may get down about the negative things in their lives, but your guy/girl won’t.

14. They are never turned off by challenges.

In fact, they thrive on them.

  • have you tried calorie-counting? My mom is a daiietbc and needs to loose major pounds… her Dr. suggested calorie-counting (it’s been three months and she has lost 40 pounds!!)… search calorie counters on google (or yahoo) and you can type in a food… and it will give you the amount of calories in that food! I would suggest cutting your calorie intake down to a maximum of 1500 calories per day… it isn’t easy… but tell yourself ‘this is a lifestyle choice’. also record your calories on a notebook or computer… it will help you!GOOD LUCK!
